Friends
I read an article once about friends and have decided to make an attempt to recreate it here. It was really good and I feel it warrants sharing with others.
Most people are lucky if they have one true friend that would die for them. Most have from two to five friends. Out of those two to five friends there may only be one real true friend to share your innermost secrets with, that will do almost anything to keep you happy and is really concerned about your well being, without expecting anything in return. If you have one of these types of friends you are really lucky, because they are few and far between. You should make certain this friend knows how special they are to you.
Speaking of dying for someone, think about this the next time you meet a veteran. While this veteran is still alive, (s)he, put her/his life on the line for you to enjoy freedom. (S)He did not ask why, (s)he did it because it was the right thing to do and (s)he was committed to defend/protect their fellow americans. Be sure to thank the person. The next time you say your prayers, be sure to thank those who died for your freedom. They did not even know you, but they died for you to be free.
