Thanksgiving 2008

It may be hard to give thanks this year due to all the hardships and financial problems going on in your world, but you have to remember that it is not just your world that is having all of these financial issues right now, it is OUR world having all of these financial issues. Yes, we helped get ourselves into this financial dilemma and WE have to do what WE can to help get ourselves out of this financial dilemma. I realize the governments of the world have to do what they can in order to bring about financial stabilization once again, but the governments are part of the WE because the governments are also part or OUR responsibility.

The whole idea I am trying to get across here is that it was ALL of us who put ourselves into this situation and it is going to take ALL of us, worldwide to get ourselves out of this situation and it is not going to happen over night. It is like gaining weight and then trying to lose it. The weight was not gained over night and thus will not be lost over night.

There is going to be some pain in trying to recover from this financial crisis the world is in. Hopefully, we have learned from the past and the pain will not be as great as it was in past financial crisis, especially the pain from the Great Depression immediately following the stock market crash of 1929.

We need to pull together as one people and help each other, much as our predecessors did in the past. We need to be kind to each other and help each other as we go through these rough times. That does not mean you need to help someone by merely giving them money, because you may not have money to spare, but you can offer a cheerful and meaningful smile with warmth and be caring for your neighbor and people around you that you come in contact with. We have in our possession many other qualities of human and spiritual value we can bestow upon our fellow humans.

When digging deep to figure out what act of kindness you have to share with someone else, try giving thanks for what you have been blessed with. By counting your own blessings you will suddenly realize that you have a lot to be thankful for, which will give you a much better outlook on life and help you to be a much kinder and gentler person with others around you. Being a kind and caring person will make you feel much better about yourself and make your world a much better place to live.

So remember to give thanks this year for all of the good things that have happened in your life and try not to dwell on the negative things. It is the good, positive things that will help all of us to get through this rough time and create a good future for our followers, our children and their children. Enjoy your family and friends because they are the ones who support you and get you through the rough times just as much as you help them get through the rough times.

Spiritual fulfillment and real love is wonderful, once true love is found it can never be broken, so love honestly and care for one another and remember that love conquers all.
